Jokowi, Lead with Firm and Love

Joko Widodo is javanese who was born in Surakarta June 21st 1961. His father’s name is Noto Miharjo, and mother’s name is  Sujiatmi. He is familiarly called Jokowi. He is alumnus Faculty of Forestry in Gajah Mada University. He was a head government of Solo. He was achieving one of the best head goverment in solo. He later became a governor in Jakarta.

Since he was appointed a Governor of Jakarta, he showed “bewitchment” leadership.  Jokowi became as an new entertainment for citizen. Every action known as “blusukan” amazed citizen. He visits the citizens in every occation, the attention is especially for the poor. It indicates that jokowi is really care about the people. He carries/implements his promisses to the people as well as his words. That’s why Jokowi has become favorite “man” for citizen.  

Many jobs await him and many problems in Jakarta has to be fixed. Stuffy and crowded Atmosphere can be seen every day in Jakarta. Moreover, shadow of flood is a part of the thread when raining season comes. Reform of bureaucrat system also be a chore of for Jokowi. Structuring of city fall apart. Has had a supply experience when was a head goverment in Solo, Jokowi expected to fix any problem in capital of Indonesia. All of the problem of the citizen of Jakarta is hanging on Jokowi shoulder.

The leadership style of Jokowi have distinction with other. He had simple life, clothes, vehicle and the way he speaks. Even jokowi rarely companied his bodyguard. Many functionary to exhibit luxury lifestyle. But it is not fit with his style. Because by his simply lifestyle, Jokowi has become more citizen.

Jokowi always trying to do better for his duties. By his own way of blusukan, he saw, heard and take action in breaking problem. He lead with firm and committed. In deciding a decision like the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT), he was firmly. He committed about project development of MRT eventhough there  is much protest. Jokowi only thinking about the convenient for many people. His determination also shown when he relocated many people in lake Pluit. For the sake of normalization lake to avoid flood.

 
At the and this paper, i want say, Jokowi is like Brata Chandra in the concept leadership of Javanese. Jokowi has given the attention to his citizen. About firm and love style. In the soul of Jokowi also an embedded the leadership of Hasta Brata.Hasta Brata is eight of the soul from nature that there must the leader.
